Technical panel to start visit to cantonments next week

KATHMANDU, April 2: A meeting of the technical committee under Special Committee for Integration of Maoist Combatants on Thursday decided to start visiting cantonment sites from next week. According to a member of the committee, the technical panel will start working under the work plan prepared by the special committee. “It will visit the cantonments, confirm whether the combatants verified by the UN are still there and interview them whether they want to join security agencies or accept economic package to start a new civilian life,” the member said.
