Suwal and top seed Shiva Sundar Gothe both have 24 points with 12 victories from as many matches. Suwal, however, unseated Gothe from the top spot with a better record in best-of-five matches. Gothe had won 36 sets and lost nine in 12 matches, while Suwal had won 36 sets and lost six.
Purshottam Bajracharya has climbed to the third position with 11 wins from 12 matches with a total of 22 points. Amar Lal Malla and Deep Saun finished fourth and fifth respectively, with equal 20 points from 12 matches.
Malla clinched the fourth position as he had earlier defeated Saun on the first day of the league.
In the women´s section, Swetcha Nembang had to remain satisfied in the second position despite having points equal as that of leader Nabita Shrestha. Shrestha and Nembang both have equal 24 points but Shrestha has won four more sets than Nembang.
Renuka Khatri, who started the tournament as fourth seed, climbed to the third place by the end of third day. Tenth seeded Kajol Rauniyar climbed to the fourth place while third seeded Elina Maharjan is in the fifth spot.
In men´s section, Suwal defeated Kapali 3-1 in Wednesday´s first match and continued the winning streak till the last match of the day. Suwal overcame Bibek Gautam and Piyush Awal in three straight sets. In his last match, Suwal registered a 3-1 victory over Rakesh Maharjan.
Gothe registered easy three-set victories over Bibek Karki, Surya Thapa and Anish Shrestha, while he had to struggle against Sunil Maharjan for a 3-2 victory.
Bajracharya, who had lost a match on the first day of the tournament, won all four matches on Wednesday. He beat Piyush Awal, Rakesh Maharjan, Chandra Thapa and Bibek Karki in three straight sets. Amar Lal Malla and Deep Saun also won all four of their matches.
Similarly, in the women´s section, Nabita Shrestha won all four matches with ease. Shrestha beat Arati Thapa, Sonu Thapa Magar and Reshma Rasaili in three straight sets while she dispatched Kajol Rauniyar 3-1. Swetcha Nembang was made to work hard for victory in her first match, but dominated the later matches. Nembang overcame Elina Maharjan 3-2 in the first match and later beat Norden Tamang, Erica Maharjan and Sunita Lama in three straight sets.
