Students used for banda

JHAPA, Aug 31: Student unions affiliated with CPN-UML, NC, UCPN-Maoist and the Federal Limbuwan State Council on Monday used schoolchildren to enforce a transportation strike in Jhapa district.



The banda was called by the students demanding compensation for the family of Pabitra Koirala, a student at Shanishchare Higher Secondary School, who died in a road accident a week ago.







School students were made to leave their classes and deployed to enforce the banda on the East-West Highway from Kakarbhitta to Damak. The students also closed factories, academic institutions, markets and other businesses in the district.
