Sthapit files writ at SC against govt

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: Former head of Kathmandu Valley Town Development Authority Keshav Sthapit filed a writ petition at Supreme Court on Monday against his removal from the post.



In his petition Sthapit said his removal is against the constitution and law stating that the tenure for the post should have been for five years as per the existing act. [break]



The cabinet meeting on Thursday sacked Sthapit citing him incompetence to carry on the post. He was appointed in the post on April 29 last year.
