St Xavier's turns 60

KATHMANDU, May 7: The Nepal Jesuit Society celebrated its Diamond Jubilee on Sunday in the grounds of St Xavier’s School.



To commemorate the 60th year, President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, was chaired as the chief guest of the event where parents and alumni were also present. [break]



The event started off with a welcome prayer dance by girls of class five.







In his speech, President Dr Yadav remarked that the school has produced many fine citizens and how one can find Xaverian’s in various sectors doing good work.



As the celebration process continued those in the audience also enjoyed a musical performed by the students.



The musical, written by Chetan Karki, depicted the life of St Xavier’s, the co founder of the Jesuit Society.
