The Force has also warned of protests if its demands are not addressed within a week. It has also given a copy of the memorandum to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, National Vigilance Center, Ministry of Youth and Sports and Nepal Olympic Committee.
U-18 basketball team to leave for India
KATHMANDU, Aug 4: An 18-member basketball team is set to leave for India´s Bengalaru on Thursday to compete in the U-18 Asian Basketball qualifiers for the mid-zone region.
The 12 players of the team are Sushil Gurung (captain), Sujan Pun, Rabi Giri, Bikram Dangol, Ketan Khadka, Bikash Gurung, Ashim Shrestha, Anish Shahi, Bishal Tamang, Kunga Sherpa, Rabi Basfor and Rohit Lama.
The remaining members of the team are manager Phanindraman Shrestha, coach Bipendra Maharjan, assistant coach Bikash Rai, observer Bikash Shahi, delegate Hom Bahadur Dong and FIBA referee Raj Kumar Maharjan.

The qualifiers will be held from August 12 to 14. The team securing first position will get an opportunity to compete in the U-18 Asian Basketball Championships to be held from September 22 to October 1 in Yemen.
National Sports Council (NSC) Member-secretary Hari Babu Chaudhary bade farewell to the team at the NSC premises amidst a function on Wednesday. On the occasion, Nepal Basketball Association´s President Tendi Lama Sherpa said their aim is to try to include women´s basketball in the upcoming edition of the South Asian Games.
