Speaker Nembang approves Bhattarai's resignation

KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang has approved the resignation of former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai as member of the parliament.

Bhattarai had tendered his resignation from his party UCPN (Maoist) as well as parliament following the promulgation of the new constitution.Bhattarai was elected from Gorkha constituency no. 1 in the in the parliament on 2014.

Bhattarai on Sunday reached the parliament secretariat in person to record his signature in his resignation letter.
