KATHMANDU, Aug 25: SPEAK, a documentary film by Paul Galichia and Brian Weidling, is being screened on August 26 at QFX Kumari Hall, Kamal Pokhari.

The documentary tells the tale of six people who participate in the largest speech contest in the world, the Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking. The documentary is being organized by Everest Toastmasters Club.[break]

Moon Pradhan, Associate Vice President Public Relations, Everest Toastmasters Club, says, “The documentary is about how the six people not only prepare for the largest public speaking contest but also about the difficult things that they face alongside in their daily lives. Public speaking, as most people say, is the biggest fear we face next to death. For some, it’s even bigger than death. So we can understand and relate to the story.”

The organizers promise that the film is “funny, inspiring and moving”. Enough reasons to keep your Sunday evening free.
