The participating teams have been divided into eight groups with three teams each in seven groups and four in one group. The winner and runner-up of each group after the round-robin league will advance to the pre-quarterfinals.
The six-day tournament will feature a total of 42 matches -- 23 matches in league stage and 19 in knockout stage. Secretary XI will play a friendly match against Media XI before the tournament.
Nabil Bank, Pappu Construction and Morang Auto are in Group A; Commerz and Trust Bank, Global IME Bank and Nepal Bank are in Group B while Group C comprises Standard Chartered Bank, Laxmi Bank and NMB Bank.
Nagarik Daily (Nepal Republic Media) has been drawn alongside Sipradi Trading and Kist Bank in Group D; Siddhartha Bank, Century Bank and ICFC Finance are in Group E; and Kantipur Media Group, NIC Asia Bank and Sanima Bank are in Group F. Similarly, Group G consists of Signature Premium, Civil Bank and Embassy of India while Citizens Bank, Machhapuchre Bank, Soaltee Crowne Plaza and Eastern Motors make up Group H.
