SOLUKHUMBU, May 9: A Shree Airlines helicopter, call sign 9 NAHT, met in an accident while landing at Syangboche airport of Khumbu Pasang Lamhu rural municipality. The helicopter which was transporting cargo from Falplu airport to Syangboche suffered minor damage after its wheels buried in the snow covered runway.

The front wheel of the chopper has been broken. According to eyewitnesses, the helicopter is being supported by wood logs. There was no human casualty. Airport officials suspect that the incident occurred after the dusty runway became softer after snow seeped into the soil. The District Police Office, Solukhumbu said that the helicopter suffered minor damage.
