HUMLA, Jan 24: A heavy snowfall has blanketed most parts of Humla. After a long dry spell since September, the district witnessed its first snowfall of the year, following rainfall starting Friday. Farmers, who had been worried due to the prolonged absence of snow, have expressed happiness as snowfall finally began.
While rainfall is continuing in the lower parts of Humla, snowfall is currently occurring in the upper regions, including Simkot and Namkha. Generally, snowfall follows adequate rainfall in the lower areas of the district.

The snowfall has made daily life difficult. With the onset of snowfall, the road passing through Namkha Rural Municipality towards Hilsa has been completely blocked.
