Ayusha Adhikari, 11, from Graded English Medium School (GEMS) and Sneha Bajracharya, 12 from GEMS were crowned first and second-runner up respectively. Following closely were Nirjala Karki from Modern Indian School, and Prashuna Sapkota from GEMS in the third and fourth runner-up positions respectively.
The grand finale of Little Miss World Nepal 2015 also saw the participants being awarded in 15 different subtitles, including Little Miss Talent, Little Miss Punctuality, Little Miss Discipline, and Little Miss Intelligent. Bisica Pun Magar was declared the Nepalese Council Model of the Year, while Beeva Pradhan walked away with the Little Miss People's Choice Award.
Organized by Nepalese Council, this was the fifth edition of the pageant. A total of 38 girls between 9-14 years of age from 18 different schools of the Capital participated in the contest.

'Believing in yourself is really important'
Little Miss World Nepal 2015 Smriti Neupane is a confident 13 year old. She will be representing Nepal in the 15th Little Miss World contest being held in Antalya, Turkey from September 27 to October 3. Republica caught up with her to talk about her experience, and ambitions in life.
How did you get into the competition? Tell us about your experience in the pageant.
I had read about the earlier editions of this pageant and was curious about it. When the applications opened for this year's edition, I wanted to apply, too, but there were people who believed that such platforms focused more on glamour than personality development, and this confused me. As I have no interest in modeling, I thought this was probably not for me. But upon my family's suggestion, I decided to visit the Nepalese Council's office for details, and when they explained everything to me, I was convinced to participate. Looking back, I'm glad that I did. The training sessions have made me much more confident. And it was fun to make new friends. I loved each and every moment of the pageant.
Was it difficult to manage time for your school and the pageant at the same time?
Most training sessions were conducted after school hours, and photo shoots and other activities were held on weekends. So I didn't miss my classes. I usually stayed up till late at night to complete my assignments. My teachers, classmates and parents were really supportive, too, and that encouraged me to work really hard.
How confident were you about winning?
The competition was tough, but I think I was slightly more confident about presenting myself in front of the crowd. So I was pretty much hoping to win the crown since the very beginning. Believing in yourself is really, really important.
What is your ambition in life?
I love art, and I want to become a successful architect and actor. You'll soon see me in MaHa Sanchar's latest production 'Ma Pani Ta Manchhe Hoon'. We've recently finished shooting the first episode. I am really excited for it. Also, I know all beauty pageant winners say this, but I really want to become an influential social worker, too.
Your role model?
I'm very much inspired by Madan (Krishna Shrestha) uncle and Hari (Bansha Acharya) uncle. I'd like to be like them some day. And Taylor Swift – I simply love her!
