KATHMANDU, March 7: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula has called for an end of factionalism in the party.
Issuing a press statement on Monday after being ousted from the NC's presidential race, Situala said the party should move ahead with unity without factionalism and expressed commitment to take initiative to this end.

He further said that the general convention will give out a positive message if the votes cast in the second round of election are respected and if there is no need to hold the second round of elections.
"Nepali Congress should come out as a united party – not a party which is divided by factionalism," Sitaula said in the statement.
