Defending champion Shrestha submitted a card of two-under 70 on Thursday for the total of one-under 287 to register four-shot victory over Toran Bikram Shahi, who played six-over 78 on the last day. [break]
Shahi, who led the tournament for the first three days with the scores of 66, 75 and 72 respectively, squandered a four-stroke lead to surrender the title.
Shrestha, who was 12 strokes off the lead after the first round, won his seventh title under the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2011-12.
With the win Shrestha earned Rs 80,000 while Shahi, who finished with the total score of three-over 291, was restricted to Rs 50,000. Ramesh Adhikari and Deepak Neupane shared the third position with the total score of seven-over 295. The duo earned Rs 34,000 each.
In Amateur section, Tashi Tsering won the title with an impressive score of five-over 293. Wangchen Dhondup was a distant second with the total score of 14-over 302.
