Krisha edged past Renuka Pandey of Nepal in women´s single kata for gold and teamed up with Pandey and Sapana Darnal for open team kata gold. UAE´s team finished runner up in open team kata. [break]
In men´s kumite, Darnal edged past Santosh Magar of Nepal in U-12 age category. Darnal also bagged gold in men´s singles U-35 kg kata edging past UAE´s Walid Hamja.
Men´s above 20 years kumite title went to Nepal´s Suman Kumar Karki who edged past Dawa Lama of host nation. Diwas Shrestha and Niraj Kumar Shrestha of Nepal took the first and second positions respectively in U-20 years age category. Suraj Shrestha and Binod Rokka of Nepal claimed gold and silver in U-16 year category. Subham Thapa of India bagged gold in U-14 year category defeating Sushant Modak of Nepal. Ashis Budhatoki of Nepal and Aryan of India took gold and silver in U-10 year age group.
In men´s single U-16 year age category kata title went to Sushant Modak of Nepal while Saikat Munna came second. Similarly, Sushant Modak was defeated by Hasan Mohayauddin of UAE in the final of U-45 kg singles kata. Dambar Ale Magar and Niraj Kumar Shretha of Nepal bagged gold and silver in open category.
Sapana Darnal of Nepal came ahead of India´s Sushmita Das in the final of U-40 kg women´s singles kata. The event will conclude on Sunday.
