The petrol pumps were found of installing instruments in the refueling machines to sell lesser quantity of petroleum products aimed at cheating the customers.
Director General of Department of Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology Bishow Babu Pudasaini said that a total of seven petrol pumps were found cheating the clients with Pashupati Oi Store of Bhakunde the last one and all of them have been sealed.
He said that the Hetauda-based Regional Office of Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology has been given responsibility for additional investigations into the case.
Ugrachandi Oil Store and Mata Ugrachandi Oil Store based in Banepa, Jaya Ambe Petrol Pump in Panauti and Narayan Petrol Pump in Janaga, Panchkhal Oil Store of Panchkhal and Mata Palanchowk Fuel Centre were sealed for irregularities. RSS
