Seriously injured British tourist airlifted

GORKHA, March 28: A tourist has sustained serious injuries after falling some 50 meters down the cliff here at Machhakhola of Gumda VDC on Friday evening.

The injured has been identified as Hethar Aryan Bon, 44 of United Kingdom.


Bon was here at the Northern part of the district for trekking after hiking at Manaslu.

DSP Arjun Chand Thakuri informed that he has been airlifted to Kathmandu by a helicopter today for further treatment adding, the incident occurred due to strong wind and heavy rainfall.



Altogether eleven tourists had trekked including Bon. Two have retuned, while nine others are still travelling.
