Speaking at the 57th Annual General Meeting of Nepal Chambers of Commerce on Sunday, Prime Minister Nepal expressed dissatisfaction over negative comments coming from business community. [break]
"If you pay attention you can notice that there have been control in crimes and many criminals have been arrested, but the government has not received encouragement, he said. PM Nepal admitted that what have been done is not enough but said that the government is committed to improve security situation. He said that the government has employed all possible means to that end.
He also assured the business community that political parties would be able to conclude the peace process on time. "I hope and believe that the parties will reach a consensus and work together to conclude the peace process and write new constitution," PM Nepal further said.
Speaking on the same occasion, president of NCC Surendra Bir Malakar said that lingering political instability, lack of capital, labor problem and lack of basic infrastructures are the major obstructions for rapid economic development of the country.
Malakar also urged the government to pay special attention in the development of agriculture sector since it can play an important role in fighting against poverty and massive job creation.
President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Kush Kumar Joshi urged the government so more to keep private sector at driving seat of the economy and said that rising lending rates has posed a major challenge for the industrial sector.
