Security personnel deployed along East West Highway in view of festivals

MAHOTTARI, Oct 21: Security personnel of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been deployed along the East West Highway and forest area in Mahottari in view of Hindu festivals like Dashain, Tihar and Chhath, police said.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Pandit said that the security personnel have been deployed, as part of integrated security plan, in the area covering Ratopul of Mahottari and Banke river bordering Sarlahi district, in order to curb increasing number of looting during festivals.He said that formed into separate groups, security personnel are patrolling in different eight places of Mahottari.

He added that the work to escort vehicles including passenger ones during nights is going on. RSS
