In women´s category, Aruna Shahi of western region with 24.46 meters throw clinched the gold while Anju Chaudhary of mid-west and Malati Gurung of western region bagged the silver and bronze.
Under men´s high jump, Nabin Gurung of western region jumped 1.68 meters to claim the first spot, Arbin Chaudhary of the same region stood second and Devendra Chaudhary of eastern region third. In women´s high jump, Barsha Bhattarai of mid-west with 1.40 meters jump secured first position, and Gyanu Chunara and Prabha Rai of central region second and third, respectively.
In men´s 5,000 meter race, Minrashi BK of western region, and Prakash Paneru and Surendra Gwachha of central region secured the top three positions. In men´s 100 meter race, Tilakram Mahato and Kiran Rana of western region and Rabin Chaudhary of mid-west bagged the top three spots. In women´s 100m race, Krishna Chaudhary of mid-west, Parbati Timilsina of western region and Srijana Wade of central region bagged the top three positions.
Volleyball
Western region emerged as champions in the men´s volleyball with six points, by winning all three matches played held at the covered hall of the National Sports Council. Far-western region came second with two points and mid-west satisfied with the third spot with two points.
