SC seeks clarifications from advocates who alleged corruption in judiciary

KATHMANDU, March 28: The Supreme Court (SC) has written to two advocates, seeking clarifications for their on-line interview where they alleged rising corruption in judiciary.

The apex court dispatched a letter of clarification to Nepal Bar Association Vice President Tikaram Bhattarai and former General Secretary Raman Shrestha, seeking their response in writing along with materials testifying their on-line statement, said SC Spokesperson Baburam Dahal. The two have been instructed to submit replies within the next three days.


He said that the apex court has sent a letter asking response along with evidence on the statement made by NBA General Secretary Sunil Kumar Pokharel about corruption in the judiciary in course of the Bar conference and on the NBA declaration point number 9 also titled corruption in judiciary.
