With the result, Sano Gaucharan completed the relegation equation. Sano Gaucharan has eight points from 13 matches and the 12th position. Kathmandu Club has 14 points from 13 matches and the 11th position.
Along with Sano Gaucharan, Kumari Youth Club, Boys Sports Club and Gyan Bhairav Club were relegated from the B division. Gyan Bhairav was relegated as All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) took an action against it for boycotting a match.
This is the firs time in a decade that Sano Gaucharan has been relegated to "C´ division. “Investigations on match-fixing allegations in the "B" division league are going on. We are punished because we played fair games,” said Birat Jung Shahi, the president of the Sano Gaucharan Club.
“We were compelled to file a match-fixing complain with ANFA after we were relegated,” said Shahi, who is also ANFA treasurer.
Meanwhile, Samajik Youth Club defeated relegated Boys Sports Club 3-1 on Friday in the match played at the Nepal Police Academy, Maharajgunj. Prabin Syangtan gave a lead to Samajik in the sixth minute but Uddhav Gautam leveled the score in the 11th minute of the match.
Meanwhile Santosh Seling scored twice in the 49th and 55th minutes to seal the match for Samajik. Samajik has 20 points from 13 matches and eighth position while Boys Sports has seven points from 13 matches and was placed in the 13th position of the tournament, participated by 15 clubs.
