Sankata moves three points clear

KATHMANDU, April 1: Sankata Club moved three points clear at the top of the points table on Monday maintaining its cent percent winning record in the Red Bull B Division National League. Sankata came from a goal deficit to beat Chyasal Youth Club 3-2 at the Budhibikas ground, Lagankhel.



With its fourth successive victory from as many matches, top placed Sankata has 12 points while second placed Madhyapur Youth Association with a match advantage over Sankata has nine points. Chyasal with a win and three defeats is in the sixth spot with three points in its kitty. [break]



On Monday, Chyasal took the driving seat in the 11th minute through Susan Gurung. Sankata had to stage fight until injury time of first half to hit back the equalizer. Salyan Khadgi achieved equalizer for Sankata in the second minute of stoppage time. Ashik Thapa Magar made in 2-1 for Sankata in the 61st minute and Bikash Tamang widened the goal difference with a third goal for Sankata in the 81st minute. In its bid to fightback Chiran Tamang scored two minutes from time for Chyasal but it failed sort of a goal to get equalizer.



In another match, Tusal Yuva Club achieved its first victory defeating Shree Laligurans Pulchowk Sports Club 2-0. Shyambabu Magar and Bimal Nepali scored one apiece for the winning side in the 33rd and 76th minute respectively.



The win lifted bottom placed Tusal one spot above to seventh place with three points while Pulchowk remained steady in the fourth position with as many points.
