Sagarmatha Insurance to issue cash dividend

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: Sagarmatha Insurance Company has decided to distribute cash dividend of 10.68 percent to its shareholders for fiscal year 2007/08.



At the 12th annual general meeting (AGM) of teh company on Friday, company chairman Ram Krishna Manandhar announced that the company recorded a 6.90 percent growth in business during the year, and earned a premium income of Rs 246.40 million, excluding aviation insurance business.



The company earned a net profit of Rs 15.40 million after deducting taxes. Issuing a press release, the company also announced that it has earned a premium income of Rs 273.30 million in the last fiscal year.
