KATHMANDU, June 14: Nepali chess players Rupesh Jaiswal and Bibek Thing on Sunday finished fifth and 10th in respectively in U-18 and U-20 age category after the final round of the 16 ASEAN Age Group Chess Championship being held in Singapore.

Rupesh and Bibek both gained five points each in their respective age categories. Rupesh defeated opponent from Philippine in the last round as he won four matches, lost three and drew two matches.
Likewise, Bibek defeated Vietnamese opponent in the final round. He won four matches, drew two and lost three matches. Rupesh and Bibek will compete in the rapid round in Monday.
