Ruby Rana, the first Miss Nepal (1994) of the country, is one of those people who believe in living life to its fullest. The former beauty queen is not just concerned with maintaining herself fit even in her late thirties, she is also equally concerned about making her life worth living and full of beautiful memories.
For this week’s “In 24 Hours”, we asked the pretty maiden what she would do if she were given an opportunity to make the most out of the given 24 hours: where she would like to visit, with whom, and what extraordinary things will she do to make the day the most memorable one for her to cherish all her life. Ruby Rana opened up all her desires that she has long been longing for but has been unable to fulfill due to many circumstances of her daily life.

What a question, man! Trust me, I can go on. Umm…let me think. Well, I’ve already been to Paris and have heard a lot about Switzerland. So I’ll pack my bag and take my dear hubby, Prajay Bikram Shah, along with me to Switzerland, the country of nature and hospitality and beauty. As we land at the airport, I’ll find out the best shopping arcades around. I’ll get myself the most expensive bags, flip-flops, shoes, perfumes and jewelries. I want to have everything I can’t find in South Asia.
Once the shopping is over, I want my husband to take off for a paragliding. Wow! That would be a lifetime experience for me to get so closer to nature, understanding its beauty like a free bird does in the sky. Next, I want my hubby to take me for a parachute jump. I want a chopper to take me high in the sky, take me right above the Engstligen Falls. I’ll get off the chopper from there and will get myself afloat towards the waterfall.
Back from these adventures, I and my other half will book the best room in a seven-star deluxe hotel. It must be a perfect suite that has a wonderful bathroom and a refrigerator right beside our bed. The refrigerator should have plenty of Swiss dark chocolates and different flavors of ice cream. Yummy! I simply can’t stop myself when it comes to chocolates and ice creams. Once I’m done having them, I’ll put on the sexiest evening gown. It has to be maroon in color. I’ll ask my husband to put on a shining black tuxedo. We shall then proceed to a ballroom for some romantic and sensual steps together. He’ll take me into his arms and we’ll start doing the salsa steps. I’ve always wanted to do salsa with my husband, but sadly, it hasn’t been possible so far. It’ll come true there. He’ll uncork the finest magnum of champagne for me, and we’ll make a toast.
Then I’ll ask my husband to stay in the hotel room for a while, whereas I’ll head to the most expensive beauty club for a makeover – in a Limousine, of course. Dude, I can feel the goose bumps already. Wouldn’t it be too awesome to relax in a couch while the best makeup artistes of the world do manicure, pedicure, facials, full body massage, and give me different hairstyles? I’ll relax myself in the sauna and Jacuzzi. I’ll make sure they make me look more beautiful than Cleopatra. Then my husband will come to receive me in a carriage that will have two beautiful white horses and white balloons all over. By that time, I’ll put on a Cinderella gown. We both will head to Zug beach. Holding hands together, we’ll dance around the coast and we’ll share romantic feelings that we have for each other. Back at the hotel, we’ll recall all what we did throughout the day, we’ll go through the pictures we took during the recreation, we’ll assemble the gifts we got for our dear ones, and will finally take a warm nap together. Tomorrow, it’s time to take the flight back home.
