KATHMANDU, March 8: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Sudan Gurung is widening his lead in Gorkha–1.
Gurung is extending his lead over Nepali Congress candidate Prem Kumar Khatri. As of the time of this report, Gurung is leading Khati by 772 votes.

According to the latest results, Gurung has secured 7,068 votes, while NC candidate KhatRi is trailing with 6,296 votes.
Although Gurung and Khati maintained a close contest from the beginning, Gurung has now taken a lead. Hari Raj Adhikari of the Nepali Communist Party has received 2,934 votes, while RC Lamichhane of the CPN-UML has received 1,450 votes.
