RSP urged to abide by Election Code of Conduct

Issuing a note on Tuesday, the District Administration Office has asked the RSP not to carry out any activity that violates the Election Code of Conduct, adding that the Office has received information about the Ghanti Abhivadan event in the district headquarters today.

NAWALPUR, Feb 10: The District Administration Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Sustapaschim) has asked the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) to abide by the Election Code of Conduct.



Issuing a note on Tuesday, the District Administration Office has asked the RSP not to carry out any activity that violates the Election Code of Conduct, adding that the Office has received information about the Ghanti Abhivadan event in the district headquarters today.

Assistant Chief District Officer and Election Code of Conduct Monitoring Officer Poshanraj Bhandari stated that the RSP's attention was drawn to follow the code of conduct to hold the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) elections in a decent manner.


"We have not prevented them from organizing the event. But, the political parties and candidates should not demonstrate a jacket, shirt, vest, t-shirt, towel, mask or any other clothes, sticker, logo, bag, batch and others carrying election symbols violating the code of conduct," Bhandari added. 


Prior to this, the cadres of the RSP were seen on the social media platforms ringing the bells at Rabi Lamichhane's public relations and Ghanti Abhivadan programmes.
