RUPANDEHI, Aug 7: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has released a list of nine individuals who have applied to contest the upcoming by-election in Rupandehi-3.
The party announced the list during its official Facebook Live broadcast on Thursday. All nine applicants have submitted their candidacy to become the party’s representative in the by-election.

The candidates include Sulabh Kharel from Rupandehi, Parthivendra Upadhyay from Bhairahawa, Dr. Lekhjung Thapa from Siddharthanagar, Gyanu Paudel, Jit Bahadur Gupta (Shekhar), Kusum Maharjan, Madhu Aryal, Rachana Kshetri, and Punam Kumari Agrawal.
The RSP had set the application submission window from 10 a.m. on July 23 to 5 pm on August 6.
The Election Commission has scheduled the by-election in Rupandehi Constituency-3 for November 3. The seat was left vacant following the death of Rastriya Prajatantra Party lawmaker Deepak Bohara in April.
