The DEO has decided to provide the amount to 216 schools, including 13 high schools, for reconstruction.Each school will receive a minimum of Rs 50,000 to Rs 6.4 million under 13 different headings.
District Education Officer Nagendra Prasad Regmi informed Republica that this year's school development budget focused on making the schools technically sound along with the reconstruction of infrastructure.
Maalika Higher Secondary (HS) School and Bhanudaya HS Schools located at the district headquarters will get facelift as well as new eight-roomed buildings.
Similarly, Kailash HS School, Mahati and Badi-Malika HS School, Dhimle will be provided a total of Rs 1.8 million to construct six-roomed buildings, according to Regmi.
Likewise, Rameshwari Secondary School, Bhairabnath, Satyawadi, Dewaldada, Khaapardevsthali, Thuma, Choyakot, Singada, Gyanodaya and nine more schools are being provided Rs 1.4 million for upgrading their classrooms.
Likewise, 18 schools will be constructing new toilets. Construction of girls' toilet is in the priority list of the schools.
The SSRP also has plans to help the schools destroyed due to earthquake by providing Rs 1 00,000 each for reconstruction.
Likewise, Rs 500,000 has been set aside for two schools for construction of drinking water facilities.
