KATHMANDU, June 21: Rohit Adhikari of Western Region (WR) and Rajpura Pachai of Central Region (CR) secured 5000 m golds in boy's and girl's section of the President's Running Shield being held in Pokhara.
Rohit clocked 17 minute 10.9 second while Rajpura clocked 19 minute 49.5 second to finish the distance. Hari Singh Mahara of Far West Region (FWR) and Tilak Oli of Mid-Western Region (MWR) stood second and third in boy's event while Gaura Bhattarai of FWR and Manju Rawat of MWR earned second and third position in girl's event.

Prabhu Nath Kunwar of WR secured gold in boy's 400 m finishing ahead of Shivaraj Parki of FWR and Arun Mahato of CR. Girl's same event saw Tara Malla of MWR, Anita Bhool of FWR and Anisha Bhandari of WR earn top three honors respectively.
CR secured team championship title in wushu with five gold, three silver and bronze medals each. FWR secured second position with a gold, two silver and a bronze.
