Seventeen engineering colleges are expected to participate, including three out of Kathmandu Valley which are participating in this ongoing annual series of robotic competition.[break]
Providing a platform for young engineering students to test and implement their design theories and to uncover and tackle design flaws, the competition hopes to help the technological field of national growth.
Always tackling a specific field, this year’s competition is based on the defilement of the Bagmati River and its cleaning process.

Titled as “Clean Bagmati, Green Kathmandu,” this year’s competition requires participants to build robots that collect degradable and non-degradable dirt from rivers, make manure from these wastes and use the compost in tree plantation.
This can be performed by an automatic robot or a manual robot. The robots have to compete on a game field of 10m x 8m on the day of the competition. Three minutes will be given to each team to compete.
Interested students and colleges all over Nepal are invited to participate in the event.
