Talking to a group of journalists at his residence in Maligaun today, Thapa, however, claimed that country would soon take the normal course arguing that status quo can not prevail for long.[break]
Saying that role of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav would be vital for ending the ongoing political stalemate, he opined that president should not remain silent in the present scenario.
Thapa, who is also former prime minister, further argued that political parties failed to garner consensus so far as they restricted themselves with the partisan agendas.
He, however, claimed that parties would forge consensus and get political outlet at no time if they put national agendas at the center while holding talks.
