Republica staffer dies in mishap

KATHMANDU, April 14: Republica staffer Kamalesh Kumar Raya, 25, died after the machine at Nepal Republica Media´s press in Biratnagar fell down on Tuesday evening.



Raya and other technicians were injured when the machine fell down after heavy storms fell the eastern wall of the press and blew off its roof. Raya died on the way to hospital.



Those injured in the incident include Republica staffers Santosh Shrestha and Nandu Kishor.



The Biratnagar editions of Nagarik and Republica dailies have been halted as the press has been damaged by the storm.
