MYAGDI, Nov 23: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Chitra Bahadur KC on Monday said that the country has been facing brutal economic blockade due to its refusal to accept the proposal to secede Tarai from the rest of the country.

He said that the Nepalese people have been compelled to suffer for making their constitution on their own. "The ongoing protest in the Tarai region has been launched by those who have vested interest to take undue advantage by splitting Tarai from the hills," accused Deputy Prime Minister KC.He said that India has been continuing economic embargo on Nepal under the pretext of protests in some customs points despite the fact that there are no problems in several customs points.
