According to the police, a passenger died on the spot while three others breathed their last while undergoing treatment at nearby Tamakoshi Hospital. Another one died while being ferried to Kathmandu for the treatment.[break]
Two injured have also been sent to Kathmandu this morning for treatment. On Saturday, five people, who have been critically injured, have been referred to Kathmandu.
The deceased have been identified as Goma Bhandari of Gothgaun-1 in the district and Sujan Kumar Khadka, Tanka Bahadur Bogati, Anusha BK and Prem Bahadur Karki of Okhaldhunga district. Karki died on way while being ferried to Kathmandu for further treatment. The injured are undergoing treatment at Ramechhap Community Hospital and Manthali Polyclinic.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the deceased have refused to receive the bodies of their kin demanding the compensation. A talks has been scheduled to be held today itself between the transport entrepreneurs and victims kin in the presence of Chief District officer (CDO) at CDO office.
According to the eye-witnesses, the ill-fated bus, Na 1Kha 7783, had lost control before the accident. The police have suspected that the bus might have hurtled down the hilly road, which has turned slippery as it was drizzling.
