According to the victim's family, the patient's condition after the attempted rape by the doctor is critical.The victim, who hails from Sarlahi, is staying in Mahottari district, from where she was admitted in psychiatric ward of NMC on Thursday. During the earthquake, she sustained head injuries while saving her three-year-old son, according to her husband.
On Friday, her husband caught the doctor red handed attempting to rape his wife in the MRI department.
"I was waiting outside. When my wife cried out, I rushed in and felt like she was knocking at the door from inside the MRI department. Then I came to realize that the doctor pulled her back," said he.
"After I peeped in through the door, my wife pushed against the doctor and came out with her half naked body," he added.
The doctor forcibly pulled off her clothes after she refused his advances according to the victim. Then only, she managed to escape.
District Police Office (DPO), Parsa has arrested the doctor on charge of attempted rape.
Meanwhile, DSPs Bir Bahadur Oli and Yadav Bahadur Gharti of the DPO Parsa said that they cannot say anything about the incident at the moment. "Only after ongoing police investigation are complete will the truth emerge," they said.
