Put up wall along Nepal-India border: Shankhuwasabha locals

SHANKHUWASABHA, Nov 7: Locals of Khandbari have suggested the government of Nepal to put up a 12-ft high wall along the 1,700 km Nepal-Indian border.

Sending a memorandum Saturday, Khandbari locals have concluded that criminal activities often take place in the Tarai belt due to open border and India has been imposing blockades on Nepal time and again under various pretexts.


The locals have sent a memo to the government via the district administration, seeking the construction of the wall so as to be liberated from the Indian intimidation, said local Jibnath Khanal.
