Protesters hurl petrol bomb at cops, torch police office

KATHMANDU, Nov 2: Irate cadres of agitating United Democratic Madheshi Front (UDMF) have torched Area Police Office, Langariya in Parsa district protesting the police action on those staging sit-ins at Nepal-India border on Monday.

Parsa Police said the cops deployed at the police office have been sent to Area Police Office, Pokhariya.

Meanwhile, the cadres of UDMF have continued protests in different parts of Birgunj city. They have vandalized the Ghantaghar-based police beat. Likewise, agitators hurled petrol bomb at police after the law enforcement agency lobbed teargas canisters and fired rubber bullets at Bus Park.
