Ministers, lawmakers, representatives of various organizations and general public offered floral tribute at Shah´s statue situated at the main gate of Singha Darbar.
On the occasion, the participants discussed roles of Shah to unite modern Nepal.
Speaking at the programme, Minister for Law and Justice Prem Bahadur Singh said that Nepal and Nepali people were recognized due to Shah´s great deed to unite the country and he has been the source of inspiration for all.
General Secretary of CPN (Marxist-Leninist) CP Mainali also shed lights on Shah´s role for the unification of the country.
At the programme, Damodar Gautam, Rajeshwor Devkota, Swami Prapannacharya of World Hindu Federation; Dr. Phanindra Nepal of Greater Nepal; Sharad Chandra Dahal and Bharat Jung Rana of National Unity Party; historian Ramesh Dhungel said that Prithivi Narayan Shah advocated for inclusive Nepal and respected culture of various communities.
