A career diplomat hailing from Syangja district of western Nepal, Paudyal is serving as Head of South Asia and SAARC Division at Ministry of Foreign Affairs. [break]
Poudyal, who also served at Nepal´s Permanent Mission to the UN and other International organizations in Geneva, had taken a challenging responsibility to introduce Machine Readable Passports in Nepal while a joint secretary at the ministry.
President Dr Yadav also appointed Pralhad Kumar Prasain as Nepal´s ambassador to Israel on Monday. Prasain was heading West Asia and Africa Division at the foreign ministry.
President Dr Yadav had appointed Mukti Nath Bhatta as envoy to Denmark a few days ago.
