Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal inaugurated the gathering amidst a function on Friday.[break]
The national gathering will bring Sauraha declaration for press freedom, welfare of the media persons and others issues, said Chitwan Chapter of Press Chautari Nepal and chairman of the organizing committee Radheshyam Khatiwada.
Around 300 representatives including the senior journalists from different districts have been participating in the meeting.
It has been reported that the gathering will prepare the future strategy for the central convention of Federation of Nepali Journalists.
