Preparations completed for statute promulgation ceremony

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: The Secretariat of the Legislature-Parliament has completed the entire preparations for the special ceremony to be organized to promulgate the Constitution of Nepal-2072.

Implementation of the new constitution passed by the Constituent Assembly (CA) on September 16 and authenticated by CA Chairman Subas Nembang after the signature of lawmakers on September 18, would be issued at the CA meeting scheduled at 5:00 pm on Sunday.


The Secretariat has made preparations to celebrate the meeting as the national ceremony.

Spokesperson at the Secretariat, Dr Bharatraj Gautam, said that President Dr Ram Baran Yadav would issue the new constitution after signing on page no. 350 of the new constitution printed on the Nepali paper.

The Secretariat has completed all arrangements including cleanliness and decoration while the security system would be tightened for the same. Ministers, chiefs and office-bearers of the constitutional bodies, former lawmakers, and high-ranking officials of the government, chiefs and representatives of the diplomatic missions in Nepal, among others, have been invited on the occasion.
