In the girls´ section, Premier took a sweet revenge for its first match defeat against the host Prime with a 32-29 win. Prime had earlier defeated Premier 26-25 in the league round. [break]
In the final match played at the court of Prime College in Nayabazar, the host took a two-point lead in the first quarter beating Premier 9-11. Premier came back into the game and scored 8-6 in the second quarter to level the score at 17-17 by the half time. Premier took one point lead by the end of the third quarter with a score of 5-4. Premier scored 10-8 in the third quarter to seal the match.
Anusha Malla, who was adjudged the Most Valuable Player, scored 10 points for Premier. Nayana Shakya of Prime was the highest scorer with 12 points.
In the boys´ category, National Campus continued its winning streak against Prime with a 56-42 victory in the final. Prime had also faced defeat at the hands of the same opponent earlier during the U-19 National Tournament.
National won the first two quarter 17-12, 7-6 to take a six-point lead. Prime cut the lead to five points defeating National 12-13 in the third quarter. National bounced back in the fourth quarter and scored 20-11 for the victory.
Bikash Gurung scored 19 points for the winning side while Ayush Singh scored 20 points for Prime. Prajun Parajuli was declared the Most Valuable Player in the boys´ category.
