With the completion of the pre-judging round on Friday, 35 bodybuilders were chosen among the 67 players for the final rounds to be held on Saturday. Players from 25 districts and Tribhuvan Army Club have been competing in the tournament. Five players for seven weight categories got selected for the final rounds.Chhatra Bahadur Shrestha of Jhapa, Suresh Gurung of Kaski, Rabi Maharjan of Kathmandu, Umesh Balami of Kavre and Namaraj Luitel of Lalitpur entered the finals of 55kg event, while Krishna Bahadur Shrestha of Bhaktapur, Sanjib Kumar Shrestha of Kapilvastu, Rujesh Shahi of Lalitpur, Ramesh Karki of Morang and Sunil Ale got selected for 60kg event.
Likewise, Ganga Ram Gorkhali of Bhaktapur, Ram Bahadur Dahal of Jhapa, Anil Lal Shrestha of Kathmandu, Bikash Dhimal of Morang and Deep Dhwoj Thakuri of Army made it to the finals of 65kg. Ujjwal Ratna Bajracharya of Bhaktapur, Karnik Shakya of Kathmandu, Ram Hari Khanal of Kavre, Devraj Parajuli of Khotang and Chandra Man Shrestha of Rupandehi got selected for the finals of 70kg, while Dipendra Bahadur Khatri of Banke, Nabin Kumar Gurung of Chitwan, Suwarna Khadka of Dolakha, Maheshwar Maharjan of Kathmandu and Bijendra Man Shrestha of Rupandehi were selected for 75kg finals.
Prabesh Shrestha of Bhaktapur, Naresh Malakar of Kathmandu, Amar Dangol of Lalitpur, Anil Thapa of Rupandehi and Paras Bhujel of Sunsari were selected for the finals of 80kg event, while Anil Kumar Thapa of Chitwan, Tul Shrestha of Jhapa, Bijaytam Ratna Bajracharya of Kathmandu, Pranab Shahi of Lalitpur and Tilak Tamang of Nuwakot entered the finals in 80kg and above.
