Police quiz villagers in Adhikari murder case

GORKHA, Aug 29: The District Administration Office, Gorakha has started interrogating locals at Phujel village in the district in connection with the killing of Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Phujel VDC-7.



Adhikari was allegedly abducted and murdered by unidentified people on June 6, 2004 during the conflict period. [break]



Chief District Officer Krishna Bahadur Karki said that they are taking preliminary information on the incident from people from every household in the village.



It is said the villagers threw out Adhikari´s parents from their house and their cattle were left to starve to death in the cowsheds after he was allegedly killed by then Maoist rebels in Chitwan.
