Police probe resignation threat

DHANKUTA, March 30: District Administration Office (DAO) on Tuesday began investigating on the circumstances surrounding the resignation of chief of Dhankuta Multiple Campus.



Keshav Pahadi was reportedly asked to resign at the gun-point by some unidentified people. “Police is investigating the case,” Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli said.[break]



CDO Parajuli added that the police would soon nab the culprits.



Meanwhile, lecturers, students and employees organized a rally on Tuesday. The organizers of the rally submitted memorandums to DAO demanding security.



Pahadi resigned from his post after an armed gang stopped him mid-way last week and threatened of leave the post and district.



Since his resignation, the campus operations have remained closed.
