The department issued warrants against Dinesh Ghimire of Okhaldhunga, Janaki Aryal of Dolakha, Bijendra Shrestha of Bhaktapur and Suraj Sen associated with Bangalamukhi Suppliers and Shilpakala and Bangalamukhi Job Track Pvt Ltd. [break]
While the three have been arrested, Ghimire, the main promoter of Bangalamukhi Suppliers and Silpakala, has absconded, according to the police.
During the investigation, it was found that the two firms were found to be operating with a single registration number. However, Suraj Sen, a senior staffer at Bangalamukhi Suppliers and Shilpakala, argued that Bangalamukhi Job Track Pvt Ltd was using their registration number without their knowledge.
Pushkar Nepal, legal officer at Department of Foreign Employment, told myrepublica.com that they would interrogate with the accused on Tuesday and take appropriate steps accordingly.
"We only have advertisements published in newspaper as proofs against these firms. We will act against them after collecting necessary information," he added.
According to the victims, Bangalamukhi Job Track Pvt. Ltd had collected amount in the range of Rs 2,000 to Rs 20,000 per person, promising them security jobs in Bangalore, India.
Samir Kumar Chadiyal of Kavre said he paid Rs 8,000 in cash to Bangalamukhi Job Track Pvt Ltd in the hope of getting job in Bangalore. Another victim Rabi Shyam Chaudhary of Bara also has similar story to share.
Earlier on the day, around 60 victims flocked Metropolitan Police Circle Gaushala demanding action against the accused and compensation for them.
Though victims say the two firms had duped over 150 persons, police maintained the figure is only around 60.
