Police arrests editor Rai on charge of extortion

GAIGHAT, Udayapur, Aug 29: The District Police office, Udayapur, on Tuesday night arrested Muga Ram Rai, executive editor and publisher of a weekly paper "Janasambandha" published from Udayapur on the charge of extortion in the name Samyukta Jatiya Mukti Morcha ( SJMM).



According to Chief at the Office, Narendra Upreti, police arrested Rai along with the money from Gaighat bazaar.[break]



Upreti said that they have found proofs that Rai had asked for money from various people in the name of Morcha and added that he was arrested for investigation as police found a receipt from him.
