Poet Chaudhary in Tokyo

KATHMANDU, Oct 27: Poet and lyricist Basant Chaudhary recited his poems for the audience in Tokyo, Japan on October 25. The poem recital is part of his objective of introducing Nepali language and literature to the world.

The event was organized by the Nepali embassy in Japan and the International Literary Society of Japan. Attended by Nepalis living in Japan and a few Japanese, Chaudhary recited more than a dozen poems. The event was hosted by Hirohito Noju, the first Japanese to receive his Master's degree in the Nepali language, and that was one of the main highlights of the event.This is the 16th edition of his World Poetic Journey. Chaudhary has been to various parts of the globe such as the US, Dubai, India, Hong Kong and Singapore as part of this journey.
